Oktoberfest and Landwirtschaftsfest are being separated. The munich city council is now responsible for service and the horse races. The community of agriculture is organizer of all agricultural exhibitions.

1827
Innovations are presented - silk-breeding- and spinning products for example.

1864
Justus of Liebigs experiments in potatoe -cultivation are shown to the visitors.

1877
For the first time the soya bean is being presented at an exhibition. The cultivation of cranberry is demonstrated.

1934 – 1948
The ZLF doesn´t take place because of Nazi-Regime and war effects.

1949
The first ZLF in the newly born federal republic of Germany has a new organizer: The Bavarian farmers association (Bayerischer Bauernverband).

1978
For the first time in the history of ZLF more than 500 000 people visit the exhibition.

1996
Another cycle is introduced: the ZLF takes place every 4 years from now on.

2004
The central of this ZLF are regenerative energies like solar and biomass.

2008

Agriculture Fraught with Energy and Vitalityis the theme of this ZLF.

2012

ZLF celebrates its jubilee: 125. Bavarian Central Agricultural Festival!
